ICRC clarifies no unauthorized items found in their vehicles

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) acknowledges Azerbaijan’s accusations and states that no unauthorized items were found in their cars, as all transported goods undergo customs inspection by the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The ICRC expresses regret over the actions of four hired drivers who attempted to smuggle commercial goods in their private cars with the ICRC logo, without the organization’s knowledge and immediately terminated their service contracts.

The Red Cross emphasizes that its work in the Lachin Corridor is exclusively humanitarian, providing emergency medical care, medicine, food, baby food, and other necessary goods to local medical institutions, families, and over 600 patients in Armenia. The ICRC reaffirms its commitment to humanitarian efforts in the region.

Israeli Foreign Minister accuses Iran of failed attack on Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen accuses Iran of being responsible for the failed attack on the Israeli embassy in Azerbaijan. He stated that traces of Iranian activity were found in the attempted attack and other attempted attacks against Israelis and Jews in Cyprus and Greece.

Cohen claims that Iran financed and instructed the terrorist cell behind the attempted attack on the Israeli embassy.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has not yet responded to the Israeli minister’s statement. Meanwhile, an Afghan citizen named Fawzan Musa Khan has been arrested in Baku on charges related to the terrorist attack. The specific country whose embassy was targeted has not been disclosed by the State Security Service of Azerbaijan.

Minister of Ecology gives conflicting statements on Soyudlu incident

Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev made conflicting statements regarding the Soyudlu incident. Initially, he stated that everything was within normal limits in the village and that air quality results showed pollutants did not exceed acceptable levels.

However, during a meeting, President Ilham Aliyev criticized the ministry’s leadership, accusing them of negligence and lack of control in allowing foreign investors to harm the environment. In response, Minister Babayev acknowledged the president’s remarks, stating that the tasks given to him would be implemented.

According to Babayev, measures are being taken to address the situation in the region, including conducting research on the stability of the artificial reservoir in Soyudlu, offering temporary suspension of operation to the operating company, and planning an assessment by an international company.
