Prosecutor General: Landmines kill 14 since ceasefire

A further 52 servicemen and 8 civilians have been injured.


Landmines continue to be a problem in the territories now under Azerbaijani control since the ceasefire.

Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General's Office has released a statement detailing the deaths and injuries caused by landmines since the war ended.

According to the statement, five military personnel and nine civilians had been killed by landmines since 10 November. A further 52 servicemen and 8 civilians were injured.

The Prosecutor General's Office has prohibited civilians from entering the territories newly under Azerbaijani territory due to the danger of mines.

Just two weeks ago, the head of a mine cleaning unit was seriously


injured


by an exploding mine.
