{"id":256849,"date":"2022-09-28T14:38:19","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T10:38:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/?p=256849"},"modified":"2022-09-28T14:38:21","modified_gmt":"2022-09-28T10:38:21","slug":"president-ilham-aliyev-approves-national-media-register","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/en\/article\/president-ilham-aliyev-approves-national-media-register\/","title":{"rendered":"President Ilham Aliyev approves national media register"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The decree named &#8220;Rules for Conducting the Media Registry&#8221; have been approved in Azerbaijan by <a href=\"https:\/\/president.az\/az\/articles\/view\/57374\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">President Ilham Aliyev <\/a>on September 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the document, the relevant state information resources and systems of the Media Registry is assigned to ensure its connection with the Electronic Government Information System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, it is emphasized that necessary measures should be taken to ensure the safety of the Media Registry together with the Special Communication and Information Security State Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/president.az\/az\/articles\/view\/57375\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The rules<\/a>, consisting of 12 points,\u00a0also indicate the implementation of the regulation of the formation, management, integration and archiving of information resources and systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director of &#8220;Turan&#8221; Information Agency Mehman Aliyev says that he is against the media registry in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/az\/article\/ilham-eliyev-media-reyestrini-tesdiqleyib\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">He told Meydan TV <\/a>that if the government keeps a register, it should do it in all areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The register of workers, teachers and doctors in the fields of construction and sewage should be kept.\u00a0For example, why is there no register of doctors, when more importantly, do they have a diploma, where do they work?\u00a0and so on&#8221;, he argues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to M. Aliyev, this policy is designed to take control of free journalists and impose bans on them.
