{"id":230844,"date":"2021-12-31T19:06:21","date_gmt":"2021-12-31T15:06:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/?p=230844"},"modified":"2021-12-31T19:06:53","modified_gmt":"2021-12-31T15:06:53","slug":"investigation-into-the-sexual-assault-of-public-activist-sanay-yagmur-has-been-completed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/en\/article\/investigation-into-the-sexual-assault-of-public-activist-sanay-yagmur-has-been-completed\/","title":{"rendered":"Investigation into the sexual assault of public activist Sanay Yagmur has been completed"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/az\/article\/ictimai-fealin-cinsi-tecavuze-meruz-qalmasiyla-bagli-aparilan-istintaq-yekunlasib\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The investigation<\/a> into the sexual assault of public activist Sanay Yagmur has been completed.&nbsp;The materials of the criminal case were sent to the Baku Court of Grave Crimes for analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yagmur&#8217;s cousin, Asgar Agazadeh, was prosecuted for aggression and sexual assault against her.\u00a0He was charged under Article 149.2.3 of the Criminal Code (when committed against a minor).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation into this criminal case was conducted by the Yasamal District Prosecutor&#8217;s Office for about a year.&nbsp;Asgar Agazadeh was not prosecuted.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the issue became public some time ago,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/az\/article\/vekil-bas-prokuror-senay-yagmurun-isini-nezarete-goturub\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> the leadership of the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office took control of the criminal case<\/a>.&nbsp;The Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office has been instructed to continue the investigation.&nbsp;Asgar Agazadeh was then arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, he does not plead guilty and denies all allegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/az\/article\/basliq-ilham-eliyev-azyaslidan-niye-qisas-alinir\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">16-years old Sanay Yagmur is well-known public activist in Azerbaijan. Her mother, writer Zumrud Yagmur, publicized the happening in a press conference<\/a>.
