\n On 12 March, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
\n
\n handed
\n <\/a>
\n a note of protest to US Ambassador Robert Sekuta in regard to the visit to the US by president of the separatist regime in Karabakh, Bako Sahakyan, and his meeting with members of Congress.\n<\/p>\n

\n Azerbaijan\u2019s note states that it is illegitimate to issue a visa to Sahakyan and allow him to promote Karabakh\u2019s separatist regime and raise funds in the US.\n<\/p>\n

\n The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan regards these actions as attacks on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in violation of international law, the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council, the US\u2019s own official position on the Karabakh conflict.\n<\/p>\n

\n Azerbaijan will respond on the basis of reciprocity to the US\u2019s actions, the note says.\n<\/p>\n
