\n symbolize the qualities of finesse and courage needed by athletes to compete successfully, says the Committee.\n<\/p>\n

\n Per the Committee’s website,\n<\/p>\n

\n “Inje reflects such qualities as charm and tenderness. She represents traditions and national values and at the same time she has a wide worldview.”\n<\/p>\n

\n and\n<\/p>\n

\n “Jasur is brave, deft and purposeful. Like all Karabakh horses, he is distinguished by independence and confidence. He is an example of excellence, because he does his best in order to achieve his goals. Jasur is known for his kindness and his friendly attitude towards everyone.”\n<\/p>\n

\n Karabakh horses are largely bred in Azerbaijan’s Sheki region, however they currently number less than 1,000 and are endangered.\n<\/p>\n

\n First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva is the Chairwoman of the Organizational Committee of the Islamic Solidarity Games. She was also the Chairwoman of the Organizational Committee of the First European Games that were held in Baku in 2015.\n<\/p>\n
