{"id":176160,"date":"2016-05-25T13:22:38","date_gmt":"2016-05-25T13:22:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/article\/committee-for-the-protection-of-civil-society-on-recent-amnesty-act\/"},"modified":"2021-10-29T13:05:08","modified_gmt":"2021-10-29T09:05:08","slug":"committee-for-the-protection-of-civil-society-on-recent-amnesty-act","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/en\/article\/committee-for-the-protection-of-civil-society-on-recent-amnesty-act\/","title":{"rendered":"Committee for the Protection of Civil Society on recent Amnesty Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\n  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.meydan.tv\/az\/58511\/\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-58511\"\/><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\n  On May 20th, the Committee for the Protection of Civil Society released a statement reacting to the recently accepted Act of Amnesty.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The National Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted an Act of Amnesty on the 20<br \/>\n  <sup><br \/>\n    th<br \/>\n  <\/sup><br \/>\n  \u00a0of May, in observance of Republic Day, May 28th. The Act will cover 10 thousand convicts, of which 3500 will be released, reports Turan News Agency.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Amnesty was initiated by Mehriban Aliyeva, who is a member of the National Parliament of the RA, the Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, in addition to being a full &#8211; time First Lady.
