\n The Minsk Group of OSCE announced that a meeting between the Armenian President Serzh Sargisyan and the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev may take place in Vienna next week, where it is hoped they will discuss a settlement of the conflict in Nagorno Karabakh.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cNow is the time for them to meet. Our ministers of foreign affairs are now preparing for these discussions.\u201d said co – chairmen of the Minsk group, representatives of Russia, the USA and France.\n<\/p>\n

\n The announcement made by the Minsk Group reaffirmed the need for the conflict to be settled by discussion, dialogue and international treaties \u2014 not military means, reported the BBC.\n<\/p>\n

\n The cease – fire in Nagorno Karabakh was broken on April 1st, and more than 100 soldiers and civilians died in the fighting. It was later reestablished on the 5th, however both Baku and Yerevan have consistently accused one another of breaking the agreement since.\n<\/p>\n

\n The Nagorno Karabakh conflict has continued on and off since 1998, when the largely Armenian – settled province of Nagorno Karabakh announced its withdrawal from the Azerbaijani SSR.\n<\/p>\n

\n The Armenian government has yet to fulfill the four resolutions accepted by the Security Council of the UN calling for the liberation of Nagorno Karabakh and its attached territories.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
