Economist Farid Mehralizadeh believes that it is important to consider the average salary of people when evaluating the fines a government imposes due to coronavirus infractions. A mask fine approximates to about 15 percent of an average salary

According to the economist, the government could waive the fines without creating any problems for the economy.

Meydan TV asked the Labor and Social Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijani's parliament, if there was a plan to waive fines. The committee said the fines for the coronavirus were justified, and everyone should try to follow these rules and be responsible for protecting the health of each other and the people.
